The second compression ring (i.e. the middle ring) is dark\/black and it is directional, so install it with hard-to-see dot facing away from the crankshaft. The two very thin and the corrugated ring are collectively the oil rings. Also not directional.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUse best practices when installing.
