Brake hose, rear brake, 2014-2021 (aftermarket)

This is an aftermarket brake line made for us by Spiegler Performance Parts in Dayton, Ohio.

This is the brake hose for the rear (pusher) brake on 2014-2021 Urals. That's the brake with the integrated parking brake that tends to require frequent adjustment. This one: https://shop.nashvillemotorcyclerepair.com/products/rear-brake-caliper-2014-2021

This line won't work anywhere else.

Some folks say you should replace brake lines because they degrade over time and make the brake less effective. Personally, I've seen brake hoses work fine for multiple decades, so I'm not one to replace them as part of maintenance, but neither will I judge you for doing so.

BUT! I've seen more than a few of these rear brakes overheat, usually due to misadjustment, and more than once I've seen the rear brake line damaged by that heat. It gets fused shut internally, such that fluid can no longer move through the line. So if your brake overheated and you can't figure out why you can't bleed the air out of the system anymore... check that the brake hose isn't blocked.

Spiegler includes instructions and a video link. The slender black cylinder is a tool they provide in case a banjo fitting needs to be re-clocked -- which shouldn't be necessary. Read the instructions before you attempt that. Also includes five new crush washers; you should only need four of them.
