Driveshaft Protective Cap

Rubber boot to slip onto the main driveshaft. Helps keep water and dirt out of the joint between the driveshaft's splines and the driveshaft fork's internal splines.

These get damaged relatively often.

To ease installation, lubricate the inside with a bit of silicone spray or grease. The slip it onto a suitable socket, then slip it off the socket and onto the driveshaft. The lubrication will also help slip it over the driveshaft fork.
