Oil seal 55x80x8

Rear main seal for the crankshaft. This presses into the rear main bearing carrier. It's also used in the 2WD final drives on the sidecar output side. 

NOTE: In the rear main seal application, this needs to be installed 2 mm deep into the rear main bearing carrier. Not flush with the outside, and not pressed all the way in until it stops. It's a real expensive part to make a mistake with, so be careful.

While we think you might get away with installing it flush, but the factory is quite clear that it should be pressed in 2 mm deep. We 3D-printed a driver tool to accomplish this. You could whip one up on a lathe pretty quickly as well. We'll try to add that tool as a product before too long.

Seal is made of Viton, aka FKM. Side is 55 x 80 x 8 mm. So 55 mm inside diameter, 80 mm outside, and 8 mm thick.
