Petcock repair kit (2007-2013 vacuum operated)

This kit contains all the rubber parts needed to rehabilitate an original vacuum-operated petcock.

Contents:

• gasket between petcock and gas tank
• mounting bolts (2)
• gasket for mounting bolt (2) (the clear plastic things in the photo)
• diaphragm assembly with o-ring (does not include the plastic plate; you'll re-use that)
• diaphragm return spring
• o-ring for outside edge of handle
• three-hole gasket that goes between handle and petcock body (the one that looks like someone yelling)

Be sure to clean the petcock body well. You could have debris packed into there, and there's always a chance there is pitting of the metal against which the diaphragm's o-ring rides. Clean and polish that surface if needed. Same thing for the sealing face of the handle.

Overall rehabbing your fuel valve isn't so difficult. Just be methodical and you'll do fine.

Oh, and unfortunately we have yet to find a supplier for the screens that fit onto the inlet/top side of the petcock. If you know of a source, let us know!
