If you have a mechanical speedometer, you've got one of these drive gears in the top-rear of your gearbox. Maybe it's worn out?
Only works through 2016 because in 2017 they went to the electronic speedometer, which used a magnet and a pickup coil instead of gears and a cable. Progress?
